Memorable experience by bicycle around the Myanmar | 10 days 9 nights

Upon arrival in Yangon in the early morning, you are greeted by our guide then transferred to your selected hotel in Yangon.

After the self-service lunch in the hotel, you begin tour Myanmar 10 days with a visit to the Kyaukhtatgyi Pagoda, which houses a 70-meter long reclining Buddha.
 
From here, you later have a walking tour to the Colonial Site, so-called Pansodan to see the historical buildings such as well as explore City Hall and the Post Office. If time permits, you have a chance to visit the local tea shop to get more knowledge about an important part of Burmese life: drinking tea. It is a perfect place for you to relax and talk to your families, friends or even the tea shop’s guests.

We end the city tour with a visit to Shwedagon Pagoda, known as the most renown Buddhist temple in Myanmar. You come back to the hotel for the night. Dinner is on your own and overnight in Yangon.
 

In the early morning, our driver will come to pick you up and head to the airport in Yangon for the short flight to Mandalay. On arrival, you will be met by our guide then transferred to your selected hotel in Mandalay for check-in.

After a short break at the hotel, you start your cycling trip around the city. Lunch is served in a local restaurant.
 
Then in the afternoon, we keep Myanmar 10 days itinerary by discovering the secret place of Mandalay by car, starting with a visit to a workshop where you can witness the traditional process of making gold leaves.

The next place of your exploration today is Mahamuni Pagoda, housing one of the country’s most revered Buddha images. Before coming back to the hotel for the self-service dinner, we climb to the peak of Mandalay Hill for an amazing sunset view.

Today, we will spend the whole third day of 10 days in Myanmar exploring the outskirts of Mandalay by cycling. Heading to the southwestern part of the city, we firstly reach the capital of Amarapura (17-km cycle), dating back to the 18th century.

From here, we make a stroll to 200-year-old U Bein Bridge teak bridge. With the length of 2 km, this ancient bridge is a perfect place for you to enjoy the fantastic views of the rural areas and streams. After that, we keep cycling along the banks of the Irrawaddy River to Sagaing and follow a quiet road to reach Mingun (48-km cycle).

Upon arriving here, you take a great chance to make an exploration of the renown Mingun Pahtodawqyi then transfer to the wonderful white Hsinbyume Pagoda where our guests will be amazed by the unique style of the pagoda, which is similar to the mythical Mount Meru.
 
Before having a picnic lunch along the way, we discover the Mingun Bell, known as the world’s largest uncracked ringing bell.

In the afternoon, adventure in Myanmar gives you the chance to join a cruise trip along the (1,5-hour boat). We return to Mandalay by boat. On the way, you take the opportunity to witness the daily life of the locals as well as admire the fantastic but tranquil landscapes along the two sides of the river.

Upon reaching the pier in Mandalay, you keep riding back to the hotel for the night. Dinner is on your own and overnight in the hotel in Mandalay.
 

From Mandalay, group of Myanmar 10 days tour head to by both bicycle and car. Firstly, we ride to Pyin Si Junction. En route, you can make some stops at villages to observe the daily life of the locals. Despite living in poor conditions, the local here still preserve their own unique culture and religious customs.
 
Lunch is served en route or in the village. Then from here, we take a coach to transfer to Meiktila, the heart of the country (2,5-hour drive). Coming here, you are able to experience a pop-up catering service and enjoy the traditional dinner, including a special milk curd curry is served with salads and soup, which is delivered to you in your selected hotel in Meiktila.

Leaving Meiktila in the early morning, we keep your cycling trip as well as Myanmar 10 days itinerary with a visit to Mt Popa, passing by lots of picturesque landscapes, making your journey enjoyable. Because the road is quite long (50-70km), you can choose to stop biking at any point and take our car to shorten the ride. Especially upon arrival, you will have a chance to enjoy the meal with traditional flavours and home-cooked dishes, containing soup, salad, vegetables and meat curry.

Departing from Mountain Popa, we go hike about 900 steps to reach the peal for Popa Taung Kalat for the breathtaking view of the surrounding landscapes. On the way trekking, you pass by dozens of nat shrines and lots of pilgrims coming to pray for blessing.

After ending trekking, we keep transferring to Bagan by bicycle via Byatta Pan Sat Road which leads to Kyauk Padaung – Nyaung U road. Along the way, you can make some visits to a village and a palm garden to observe the rural life of the people here.

 

A picnic lunch is served en route. After the meal, keep heading to Bagan by our coach. On arrival in Bagan in the mid-afternoon, you are guided to check in the hotel then take a horse cart ride to an elevated temple to admire the beautiful sunset view.

Breakfast at the hotel then you can spend the whole day exploring the ancient Bagan City by cycling, starting with a visit to the lively Nyaung Oo Market where you can have a close eye on the daily life of the locals as well as shop for some souvenirs.

The next places of your visit today are Shwezigon Pagoda, famed for its magnificent golden stupa, and Wetkyi-In Gubyaukgyi, a unique temple with lots of murals paintings. Before coming to the local restaurant for the lunch, we come to the elegant Htilominlo Temple, famed for its fine plaster carvings. 
 
After the break at noon, we keep Myanmar 10 days tour with an exploration of Bagan on a trip to a local village to observe the process of making traditional lacquerware.

The next place of your afternoon visit is Ananda, a structural masterpiece reflecting the unique style of Bagan temple and comprising four standing Buddha statues. You conclude the cycling trip around the Bagan with a visit to one of the few surviving brick monasteries from the early Bagan period.

After that, we drive back to the hotel in the centre of Bagan for relaxing. Dinner is on your own and overnight in the hotel in Bagan.
 

In the early morning, our driver will come to pick you up at the hotel and transfer to the airport of Bagan for the domestic flight to Heho. On arrival in Heho airport, our guide will greet and transfer you to Nyaung Shwe (1-hour drive). En route, Myanmar 10 days trip makes a stop at the wooden Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery.
 
Lunch is served at a local restaurant. On arrival at the hotel in Nyaung Shwe, you can spend the rest of the day discovering the Nyaung Shwe or simply relaxing at your hotel.

Wake up early, enjoy the fresh air in the town of Nyaung Shwe, then we ride the bicycle to the Inle Lake for the cruise trip along the picturesque Inle Lake. While admiring the stunning beauty of the lake, you can make some stops at typical floating gardens, fishing villages.

The next destination of your morning visit during Myanmar 10 days itinerary is Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda, the weaving village of Inpawkhon and other interesting spots. 
 
In the afternoon, we keep exploring the surroundings of the lake with a discovery of the 80-year-old monastery namely ”jumping cat monastery”. Then you are transferred to the hotel. En route back, you take the opportunity to visit the leg-rowing fishermen and floating gardens.

Dinner is on your own and overnight at Inle Lake.

The last day in tour Myanmar 10 days. Breakfast at the hotel on Inle Lake then you are transferred to the Heho airport for the domestic flight back to Yangon. On arrival in Yangon, you can spend your last day in Myanmar strolling around the city and shopping for some gifts at Gems Mart and Handicrafts shops. Or you can make a visit to Bogyoke Aung San (Scott) Market to buy souvenirs.

After that, our driver will pick you up and transfer to the airport for your international flight going home.
